Hey, I’m James.
I conceptualize and create high-concept digital media. As a storyteller, I’m good at taking a larger picture and breaking things down into simple, engaging pieces. I have an eye for compelling design and a drive to collaborate – enabling work that creates real impact. Schooled and self-taught, I’ve been loving this field since 2006.
In 2021, I ventured into freelance through Floor 2 Creative LLC, focusing on video production, content marketing, and creative strategy for B2B clients across the US. Why is it called Floor 2 Creative? Staying true to simplicity:
- I live (and work) on the second floor of my Brighton apartment building.
- It’s creative work.
- I’d prefer to spend my brainpower doing awesome work with you rather than creating a self-indulgent title that no one will care about!
Over two years of full-time practice, I built something I’m genuinely proud of: producing documentary series, brand stories, and content programs for companies ranging from scrappy startups to established tech brands.
In 2024, I returned to Workhuman – a global HR tech company as Director of Video & Social, where I lead video strategy, took over organic social, and an executional capability including a 2,000 sq ft multi-camera production studio I helped design and build.
Floor 2 stays active on a selective basis, because I like keeping one foot in the entrepreneurial side of things
When I’m not working, I’m on a lifelong quest to check out every brewery I can, go to as many heavy metal shows as possible, and try to make the most of every day with my wife and 2 Siberian Huskies.
